Hotel Landgoed Ekenstein
Hotel Landgoed Ekenstein was established in 1648 when the Eeck family had a country house and farm built at the Damsterdiep. In 1754, the Alberda’s van Ekenstein took up residence and the country house was expanded. In 1870, it was renovated in the Neo-Gothic style.
The English country style garden park was designed by landscape architect Lucas Roodbaard.
Some of the hotel rooms are in the historic country house, and the restaurant is located in the authentic great hall. The historic Schathoes (treasury) was once the country house farm. Today, this is a charming and historic environment with various halls that are perfect for a party, reception, dinner or congress.
